Since 2007, Gregory Cyprian founded Legacy 166. His idea for the non-profit -Legacy 166 arose from a desire to help tomorrow’s future leaders by exposing them to art, culture, and education. Our youth have the potential to do great things. They need someone to believe in them,” Cyprian says. “Legacy 166 strives to fill the gap by serving those in underserved communities in Mobile, AL. .” You can change the trajectory of their life by changing their focus, Cyprian says. Art education is a vehicle to help them succeed. Art gives you an outlet for expression, whether through song and dance, photography, theatre, painting, or other avenues.”
His 20 years of experience position him for success as the founder and executive director of Legacy 166. He’s worked in multiple states managing various entertainment venues. After relocating to Mobile, he worked as Director of Operations and Asst. General Manager for the Mobile Civic Center. He also served as the Marketing and Promotions Director for Cumulus Broadcasting and Special Events Coordinator for the City of Mobile Special Events Department. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from Wilberforce University, and he’s a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
