Cassandra Sims Hansberry

Education

Cassandra Sims Hansberry has a B.S. in Human Resource Management from USA and a Project Blueprint certificate from the Southwest Region of United Way.  She's currently employed with the Southwest Region of the Alabama Department of Transportation as a Senior I.T. Systems Tech which includes serving as a supervisor to summer interns participating in Vigor High Schools  Signature Academy.

Personal Interests

She's a strong believer in giving back to the community and has volunteered with several community programs including Legacy 166.  She loves reading and advocates continued growth in mind, body heart and soul for young and old alike through reading books that are motivational and inspirational. To facilitate this belief, she founded a bookclub and named it Heart and Soul.  It is open to the public and meetings which include rotating between book reviews, poetry readings, self care art projects and dancercise are held monthly at West Regional Library.  

She believes Heart and Soul's mission and vision coincides with that of Legacy 166 and is looking forward to serving on the board of Legacy 166.

Darron PAtterson

Background

Darron is a native of Plateau, Alabama, also known as Africatown. He is the great-great grandson of 'Kupollee,' one of the last Africans illegally enslaved in America aboard the Clotilda slave ship. He has a background in mass communications and has made significant contributions in sports journalism, working for major newspapers and covering various sports teams, including the NFL's Lions, NBA's Pistons, MLB's Tigers, and NHL's Red Wings. He was the first African American sportswriter at the Mobile Press Register.

Career

Darron has a diverse career, including roles as a technical writer for Roush Technical Services, auditing IT documents for Airbus, and currently serving as a senior technical writer for a company. He is actively involved in his community, serving on the board of directors for the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame, the advisory board of the Mobile Sports and Entertainment Group, and as a Men's Ministry co-leader at Mt. Hebron Church Ministries. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.


Darron has been a speaker at various educational institutions and media outlets, including the University of Virginia, Spring Hill College, and more. He has made appearances on national TV shows like CBS' 60 Minutes, NBC's The Today Show, and National Geographic documentaries. Additionally, he appeared in the Netflix film 'Descendant' and was featured on the cover of Mobile's Lagniappe Magazine. 

NAthaniel Patterson II

Education

Nathaniel Patterson, Jr. was born and raised in Mobile, AL. Lived in Southern California, Brazil, Kenya, and Tampa Bay. His corporate career legacy is turning around underperforming companies in the healthcare, retail, and software industries.

Personal Interests

He has served on over 30 Boards. The last was as Vice-Chair of Mobile Chamber and President, of Dearborn YMCA. For the past two years, he has been listed on LinkedIn LeadersHum International listing, as Top 200 Voices in Leadership.

Alexander Tynch

Education

Alexander Tynch, a modern-day renaissance man, hails from the northern regions but has spent his formative years in the welcoming embrace of the southern state. He is an alumnus of Mary G. Montgomery High School and is presently pursuing a business degree at the University of South Alabama. His diverse skillset is a product of years of dedicated work and volunteering experiences in service and management roles.

Personal Interests

Specializing in the realms of technology and business, Alexander possesses a knack for infusing modernity into everything he encounters. He revels in the process of rejuvenating and enhancing various aspects of life. His recent fervor revolves around the themes of culture, diversity, and inclusion. He takes immense pleasure in delving into the customs and histories of different cultures and is driven to disseminate this knowledge within the community.

In his commitment to these ideals, Alexander is actively involved with various DNA groups, including Black@Apple, Pride@Apple, and Beacon@Apple, where he works to promote diversity and inclusion in these spheres.
